Vantage's InFusion Control Systems can now be used with the Energy Management Solution, an add-on set-up that provides the customer with feedback on energy usage to help him conserve energy, and in turn save money.
The system incorporates a touch-screen based dashboard that supplies real-time energy consumption data, options for better managing energy resources, and feedback on savings over time. The system can be programmed using one of eight preset strategies to save energy, ranging from the dimming of lights to temperature adjustments and power-down of appliances on a timer. Additionally, the system can be set to be in line with local power costs so that the client can view the exact kilowatt hours and consequently dollar amounts he is saving. Further, once integrated with a Vantage InFusion System, the Solution can deliver weather conditions with three-to-five-day forecasts.
Incorporating the system into a client's home requires software to be uploaded to the InFusion System, and the installation of a power meter, new ranges of occupancy and ambient light level sensors, and wired and wireless interfaced for integrated control of Somfy automated window treatments.
The Energy Management Solution is compatible with any utility company, says Vantage, from anywhere around the world. Already, the company reports a 20% average energy savings from homeowners who have already installed the system, which equates to savings of about US$600-$1,500 per year.
