We're Giving Away Harmony Remotes!

Home theatre clutter is a common issue. Many still struggle with multiple remotes to control various devices. In the spirit of helping our readers clean up the living room and rid themselves of remote frustration, we're giving away four easy-to-use universal remotes.

In partnership with Logitech Harmony Remote, we will be awarding a Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote Control every two weeks for the next eight weeks to a randomly selected winner.

There are 3 ways to win:

ABOUT THE PRIZE

All instructions are displayed on the remote's colour screen. The remote has a rechargeable battery. It is valued at $170.

The first winner will be selected on Friday, April 2. Entries will be start anew every two weeks. Enter now for your chance to win!

Already use two Harmony One remotes but still need another one for the bedroom. I hope I'll win one.

I've also been using a Harmony remote for a few years. I love it even if it is a little pricey, but then what other remote approaches its functionality? I did have a couple of small problems setting it up at first, but going to Logitechs website into the help forums quickly fixed any problem I had,. The people there were knowledgeable about the product and quickly got me on my way. I stuck around and read through other posts and it seemed to me most other users got the same quick response I did. I love it when I can go online and solve my problem without having to resort to a phone call. Way to go Logitech.

After years of juggling various remotes and driving my wife crazy over which remote worked with TV, DVD, stereo etc,, the one-step point-and-shoot feature of the Harmony has saved more than my sanity. It's creator deserves a medal.

We put in a Harmony Advanced Universal Remote on a recent custom home theatre system I consulted on and installed. The online interface was simple to use for an average consumer. When we were finished, I walked my customer through how to select the functions for watching a video, TV, or gaming. After that, we put the rest of his remotes away. He and his family are pleased with how easy the Harmony is to use and I haven't gotten a single call from them asking how to change to the right input. Can't wait to get a Harmony for my own custom system at home!

I've been using a Harmony 550 for a while now and wonder how I ever lived without it. It sure makes life easier. The only thing it does not control is my older Kenwood 5.1 receiver which uses RF instead of IR.

I've been using Logitech Remotes (628, then 880) for a number of years now... Both were absolutely great units however I found the 880 even more convenient particularly because of the internal rechargeable battery. Disappointingly however, Logitech's help desk seems to have become much less user friendly and efficient over time and should now be called the "Self Help" desk. There's no greater satisfaction with a recent purchase than calling for help and reaching a live person to walk you through a set-up problem or hiccup. The difference I found in the past few years is the product has improved but the support has suffered. Logitech, keep making the great product but bring back the personal touch of having real people on the help desk !
