Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced two new appointments for its WB Games Montreal development studio: Martin Carrier will now serve as Vice President, Studio Head; and Reid Schneider as Vice President, Executive Producer.
The studio, which formed this past Spring, is focused in developing AAA games based on the DC Entertainment library. It is also involved in the online Warner Bros. properties.
"WB Games Montreal has begun to take shape with many new hires and the appointments of gaming industry veterans Martin Carrier and Reid Schneider to lead the studio," comments Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Martin and Reid have the interactive experience needed to lead the team in making quality games utilizing our major properties. They will continue to build the team and are currently hiring talented developers."
In his new role, Carrier will be responsible for the studio's day-to-day operations. Prior to joining WB Games, Carrier served as, vice president, communications and corporate affairs at Ubisoft Montreal. Previous to that, he was vice president, marketing and communications at Bluestreak Technology. He has also formerly worked as a technology industry consultant.
A games industry veteran of 12 years, Schneider will handle all production-related initiatives for the studio. Prior to his role at WB Games, he was executive producer of the "Army of Two" franchise. He also served as a producer on "Battlefield Vietnam" and the original "Splinter Cell."
Martin Carrier and Reid Schneider are the latest to join the newly-created WB Games Montreal development studio. They will serve in the positions of Vice President, Studio Head and Vice President, Executive Producer, respectively.
