Trends Electronics International Inc. has partnered up with Mississauga, ON's i To i Logistics to open up an eastern distribution facility to serve all of Trends' residential dealers across Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes.

i To i Logistics has similar supply chain facilities in British Columbia and Los Angeles, and hs invested heavily in the latest warehouse technology. This includes narrow aisle reach equipment, RF bar code scanning, and a Web-based portal for inventory management. When combined, the two say they provide 99.97% inventory accuracy and fill rates.

"Our business has always been anchored in providing a high level of customer service," says Paul McCann, Chief Operating Officer at Trends Electronics International Inc. "We are very excited about the transit time improvement our eastern business partners will see immediately on our core residential products. I would expect that the range of our products shippedfrom this facility will continue to expand into other areas of our business quickly. "

The new warehouse will be located near Toronto's Pearson International Airport. Trends notes that this location will allow local dealers to pick up orders, and that orders placed by 11 a.m. EST will be shipped the same day.
