Sceptre, a manufacturer based in City of Industry, CA, has announced a new 24" 1080p LCD monitor/TV that comes finished in chrome.

The display affords 4,000:1 contrast and 2 ms respond time, and comes equipped with two HDMI ports, as well as a USB port for viewing images, video, or other files directly from a flash drive.

Boasting a 16:9 screen, the display is Energy Star 3.0-compliant, and comes with built-in speakers. The neck and the base are detachable if desired.

While the unit be most suitable for use with a PC, the chrome finishing makes it ideally-suited for placement in a kitchen. Models are available in chrome, as well as black, red, pink, and blue, for an MSRP of US$399.

According to a representative from the firm, the LCDs sell in Canada through Tiger Direct and Newegg.ca.
