Red Leaf Retail has appointed Pat Button as its new President, effective November 1, 2011.
In this position, Button will be responsible for all operations, business development, and marketing of the Vaughan, ON-based retail displays and design production company. He will be working alongside Founder Chris Potter.
Button has spent the past two decades working in the consumer electronics and wireless industries, having held executive sales and marketing positions with major brands, including Bell, LG, Sony, Samsung and, most recently, Research in Motion (RIM).
"We are excited to bring Pat to the team to bolster our ability to drive strong client partnerships," says Potter. "His appointment is one of the key factors in our move to Red Leaf V 2.0, along with our new guided selling innovations, and our investment in a new Retail Innovation Centre. With Pat's corporate leadership experience, we are certain that Red Leaf Retail's future is bright."
"I am excited to join Red Leaf Retail," adds Button. "With new in store innovations like facial recognition, and mobile applications at the last three-feet of retail, we plan on taking the shopping journey to the next level. I have been fortunate to have been involved in this industry in many facets over the last 20 years, and look forward to sharing my vision for retail with my friends in the CE and wireless industries."
Button holds a degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, as well as an MBA from the University of Toronto.
