Polk Audio's HitMaster Stage Monitor Speaker lets players of Rock Band, Guitar Hero and other music games rock out loud. Priced at C$129.95, the HitMaster has a built-in 80-watt (continuous RMS power) amplifier driving a single-point stereo speaker system consisting of dual 1" horn-loaded tweeters flanking a 6.5" woofer. Polk says the system produces a wide soundfield, and can play as loud as 103dB. Multiple HitMaster speakers can be daisychained, for players who want more volume.

The faux-leather exterior, carpeted base and metal-mesh grille mimic the look of professional stage monitor speakers. The cabinet is constructed of medium-density fibreboard (MDF) and is internally braced to eliminate buzzing effects. The system is supplied with nine-foot analog-audio cables for connection to a game console.
