Panamax says its MX5102 power management component protects elaborate home theatre systems from under- or over-voltage conditions and voltage spikes; while an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) works on two of its 10 outlets to ensure that connected equipment powers down correctly.
Equipment that would especially enjoy the UPS circuit includes hard-disc based components and front projectors that have bulbs requiring a cool-down process before shutting off for optimum longevity.
An RS232 serial communication port provides connection and communication between the UPS and an HTPC (home theatre personal computer) or home automation system.
The MX5102's front panel offers a menu navigation system and status LCD that monitors the incoming line voltage and displays the battery time remaining in case of a power loss.
Supplied with cables and a rack mounting kit, the MX5102 is available now at an MSRP of US$649.95.
