MovieTime has finally launched in high-definition. The channel, which shows 250 movies each month, will be available on channel 562 as part of the Rogers Digital Cable VIP offering starting Friday, March 12.
Operated by Canwest Broadcasting, MovieTime joins other Canwest properties that are already available in HD, including History Television, Showcase, National Geographic Channel, and four Global Television stations in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.
MovieTime launched just over a year ago, and showcases blockbuster films from the past decade or so, like Batman Begins, Bourne Identity, Catch Me If You Can, and The School of Rock. All of the aforementioned titles will be available in HD on channel 562 as well as standard-definition, along with many others. New films will continue to be added every month.
MovieTime HD will be launching with other TV providers later this spring.

Why can't we just get the Real HBO, Star Z or Show Time, I have had the Movie Networks on Bell & they don't compare to what's on Direct TV for selection, picture & audio quality.
