Monitor Audio's latest speaker system, the Vector 5.1, is compact, and is being marketed as an "affordable" option from the manufacturer, ranging in price from $199 to $499.
There are three models in the series: the wall-mountable V10 satellite ($299/pr.), the $199 V20, which can be used as a centre channel or left/right satellite, and the 100-wat VW-8 sub ($499 ea.). Both the V10 and V20 boast cabinets made of high-density molded polymer with an exterior that the company says is "soft to the touch". The MDF front baffles are coated in high-gloss black or high-gloss white lacquer.
The V10 uses a 4" MMP II bass driver complemented by a 1" C-CAM gold dome tweeter that boasts a frequency response from 65Hz-30kHz. A single point fixing is provided for wall mounting. The similar V20 incorporates extended bass response, front porting, a recessed terminal panel, and key hole fixing points for wall installation. The sub houses a long throw, forward-firing 8" driver, and can be turned on and off automatically via auto signal sensing.
All three models will be available in March. For more information, contact Kevro International toll-free at 1-800-667-6065.
