Mobilicity, an upcoming new wireless carrier brand in Canada owned by parent company DAVE Wireless, has appointed Joe Prodan as its new Chief Financial Officer.
In his new position, Prodan will be responsible for overseeing the finance, legal, and human resource departments of the company.
Prodan, a Certified Management Accountant, has extensive experience in the industry, having previously help executive positions with Bell ExpressVu (now known as Bell TV) and, most recently, Sirius Canada, where he spent the past four years.
"Joe brings tremendous value to our management team and business framework," says Dave Dobbin, President and CEO of Mobilicity. "He has a solid track record of successfully ramping-up and running the finance and operations sides of subscription-based start-up companies. We are delighted to welcome him aboard."
"Having previously experienced the growth and opportunity of working at subscription-based startup companies in other competitive sectors, I'm excited to play a role in helping Mobilicity develop the fiscal discipline and strategic focus that will contribute to its success," adds Prodan. "It's an amazing time to be an entrant to Canada's wireless market."
Mobilicity plans to have services up and running in select markets by the Spring. Stay tuned to the February issue of Marketnews Magazine for in-depth details on Mobilicity's upcoming services, as well as Public Mobile and WIND Mobile, two other new carriers entering the market.
