Gentec International has announced that Klipsch will be the official headphone sponsor of the NBA's Toronto Raptors for the 2012-13 season. The company will outfit all members of the team with Klipsch headphones.
Starting guard Demar DeRozan will receive a Raptors-themed Image ONE headphone, along with a Mode 40 noise-cancelling 'phone to wear while traveling to and from games. Gentec will coordinate events for its retail customers where DeRozan will appear as the team's ambassador. During select games, giveaways and promotions of Klipsch headphones will be conducted through DeRozan's Twitter account.
During broadcasts of all 82 regular-season games, the Raptors' TV announcers will wear Klipsch headphones. The team's mascot will wear custom-made Klipsch headphones during Raptor home games.
After three-point shots and slam-dunks by DeRozan, a Klipsch sound byte will play while the name is shown on the Air Canada Centre's LED signage. The Klipsch brand will be visible on the concourse, end-zone and courtside signage, and a digital ad will run in Maple Leaf Square for a whole year.
