Huawei will now provide LTE RAN (radio access network) equipment to Bell Mobility, to continue the expansion of Bell's recently launched LTE wireless network.
This announcement was made at a signing ceremony today in Beijing, with Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and Bell Canada officials in attendance.
Bell's LTE wireless network currently reaches over six million Canadians.
"LTE significantly enhances the quality of the customer experience. It is the future of the global wireless industry," says Sean Yang, President, Huawei Canada. "As a global company at the forefront of this evolution, we are thrilled to expand our longstanding relationship with Bell as they continue to bring LTE to Canadians."
Huawei is a global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider.
