Video games aren't the only entertainment media that's popular enough to force an early store opening. Future Shop confirms that it will open at midnight to celebrate the release of Twilight: New Moon on Blu-ray disc and DVD.

Future Shop will hold one of its Midnight Madness events on Friday, March 19 when the highly-anticipated vampire flick hits stores. The midnight store openings are typically reserved for video game titles that gamers are anxious to start playing as soon as possible, but the strong following for the Twilight Saga films has prompted the retailer to hold a similar event for the movie.

Twihards, as fans are lovingly called, can visit any Future Shop store on the eve, except for locations in Sudbury, ON and Quebec, which will open at 8 a.m. the following day. Those in line will be the first to have the chance to purchase a copy of the movie.

Additionally, consumers can meet Canadian actor Cameron Bright, who plays Alec of the Volturi clan, at the W. Broadway store (1740 W. Broadway) in Vancouver, BC. He will be there from 10:30 p.m. through to 12:30 a.m.
