D-Box Technologies Inc. says that the next feature film to include its motion coding technology will be Terminator Salvation. Those who watch the movie in selected U.S. theatres and opt to sit in one of the theatre chairs outfitted with D-Box technology will be able to feel the action, including bumps, jolts, and shivers.
Each theatre seat with D-Box's Motion Code will move in sync with the on-screen action: you'll feel the road pass you by during a high-speed car chase; or feel the impact as items crash to the floor around you. The seats return to normal during quiet, dialogue-driven scenes; and each chair has adjustable settings so that you can customize it to your liking.
"We're adding a new dimension to movie-viewing, Terminator Salvation is the perfect fit for D-Box Motion Code technology," says Claude Mc Master, President and CEO of D-Box. "Moviegoers can experience all the intense moments as if they were right there, living the action."
Terminator Salvation comes out on May 21. Currently, D-Box Motion Code seating is available in the UltraStar Cinemas in Surprise, AZ, the first theatre to carry the technology, as well as in Theatres at Mall of America in Bloomington, MN, and Galaxy Theatres in Austin, TX. Customers pay a small premium to sit in one of the available D-Box seats.
