Multiple reports have surfaced today suggesting that Apple is gearing up to introduce the iPad 3 in March. Could it be time to start getting in line again?

Sources have come out and said that the company will hold an event in San Francisco, CA, that month to discuss the details of the tablet. Naturally, that's when a product release date should be unveiled.

Speculation is that the 3 will have a similar form factor to that of its predecessor, the iPad 2, but it will feature a 2048x1536 retina display, a much speedier chip, and a heightened graphics-processing unit.

Apple has refused to comment on the matter.
