Herman Miller Ergonomic Desk & Chair: One company I did not expect to see at a show like CES is high-end furniture maker Herman Miller. But the company opted to show off its latest options in the ergonomic office. When you think about it, techies are spending hours on end at the computer playing video games, watching/downloading content, working, or even just surfing the Web and social networking sites. This means just as with the home theatre, comfort is of the utmost importance. Herman Miller's new desktop is really sleekly designed with a black surface at the front, and custom-coloured surface for the back portion. Slide it forward, and the desk tilts on an angle to bring the laptop computer or desktop keyboard closer to you. A semi-circular groove in the centre fits around your body so that the desk literally envelops you. Then work away. The chair is equally as comfortable, looking like a standard office chair, but designed to fit your body, and afford reclining when needed. The entire system would run you over $2,000, but for graphic designers, office workers, or just PC enthusiasts in the home, it's definitely a high-tech option worth looking at.
