We conducted an in-depth review of the BlueAnt S4, which replies to verbal commands like "answer" or "ignore," "am I connected?," "check battery," "pair me," and "phone commands," to activate your phone's voice dialing feature (if available.) To initiate a conversation, simply say "BlueAnt, speak to me," at any time. The slim, visor-mounted unit has touch buttons, can connect to two phones at the same time, and can stream music from Bluetooth A2DP-compatible phones. It is also compatible with the Bing 411 service, which can provide news and traffic updates via your voice commands. The S4 also ships with a reminder card to download the Vlingo SafeReader application, which will read SMS and e-mails aloud through the speaker with compatible BlackBerries or Android devices (supposedly iPhone support is coming soon.) However, both devices also come with a new BlueAnt application that will read text messages aloud from compatible Android phones. All that's required is a software update that's available for free online. It will sell for an MSRP of $119.99, and will be available through a number of stores, like Best Buy, Future Shop, The Source, Rogers, Bell, Telus, TBooth, and Wireless Wave.
The T1 Bluetooth headset ($89.99) is the first BlueAnt model to feature Wind Armour Technology that reduces wind noise to afford clearer conversations. This is combined with BlueAnt's own proprietary noise cancellation software. The durable headset has removable and interchangeable, patent-pending, soft-touch silicon covers. This makes it resistant to things like everyday dust and moisture. Like the S4, it can store up to 2,000 phonebook entries, and it A2DP-compatible for streaming music or turn-by-turn directions.
Enter now for the chance to win one of these brand new products! The giveaway is open to any resident of Canada over the age of 18. Winners will be announced on or by Monday, July 12, 2010.
