Gentec International has announced that it will take over Canadian sales, marketing and service for Alpine 12V products beginning January 1, 2013. In the announcement, Gentec said it would retain a number of key sales and marketing personnel, as well as the existing reps. They will work out of Gentec's office in Markham, ON.

"We have been very proud of the heritage with Alpine Electronics of Canada since its founding in 1979," said Steve Crawford, President of Alpine Electronics of Canada, Inc., in a prepared statement. "However in order to propel our brand to new levels and execute the appropriate high standards of customer service, marketing and distribution, we partnered with Gentec to optimize our position in the Canadian market."
