Some apps are very useful. Google Maps helps us get places, Safari helps us explore the world, and any number of weather can help us decide what to wear on a given day. Others, usually the most fun ones, can only be viewed as guilty pleasure apps.
This week, we are taking a look at five apps that I am proud to say are guilty pleasures of mine.
TMZ
Here it is folks, my favourite iPhone app of all-time - TMZ. Yes, this may irk some of you who love apps that do things for you (like monitor the home, provide in-car navigation), but I am but a simple man. I like to be entertained by the totally ridiculous nature of this form of celebrity coverage.
Sure, TMZ (which stands for Thirty Mile Zone), may come off as yet another incarnation of a forum in which celebrities are worshipped or covered unfairly, but that is almost the exact opposite of what TMZ is all about...almost...

FML
The FML (F#@k My Life) app is like the TV show Hoarders - it makes you feel better about your own life within moments of turning it on. For me, few things are funnier than hearing about strangers' sexual mishaps, issues at work and run-ins with animals - fortunately FML has all of those and then some...

Draw Something
Usually I'm one of those guys that likes to sit back and watch certain trends unfold before I fully invest into them. Sure, it seems ridiculous of me to take such an approach with a free app, but what can I say, I guess I'm a little strange like that.
Anyways, once I bowed to peer pressure and took up shop on Draw Something, I soon began to understand what all the hype has been about. The game is essentially a digital, way more isolated way to play Pictionary. And really, what sane person doesn't on some level absolutely love Pictionary?!

Victoria's Secret
My experience with the Victoria's Secret catalogue is that it's always been able to appease both the genders. Women open it up and once they're done hating all the models after their catty instincts told them too, they usually find the unmentionables very mentionable, and begin preparing an order form.
For the fellas, while we often get puzzled and bothered by just how much damn money women can spend on clothing, there's something about the Victoria's Secret product line that melts us. Could it be because we imagine what our ladies would look like in this sexy gear? Or, could it just simply be because we like to fantasize about the models we see and prefer hiding behind the pictures of a magazine, over being that creepy guy hovering around the company's retail centres?

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2012
There was obvious excitement that I felt upon discovering that there was a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2012 iOS app. There are two reasons for this: one being that I'm a hot blooded male with an appreciation for the female form, and two, few apps I review are ever this sexy.
However, like with most experiences I have had with women of this ilk, there's a catch. In the case of this app, it's the $6.99 that you have to pay to unlock the bevvy of content in which it contains...
